After headlining at the Luxor for four years, veteran comedian Louie Anderson brings his new show to the venue where he now performs five nights a week, Tuesday through Saturday, at 8:30 p.m.

Rick Faugno, who stars as Frankie Valli in the Las Vegas production of Jersey Boys, married Joyce Chittick, a singer/actress choreographer on September 2 at the Springs Preserve. Chittick played Mary Delgado, Valli's first wife, in Jersey Boys.

Sheryl Crow’s concert scheduled for September 11 at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino was postponed due to illness. The new show date will be announced soon. September 11 show tickets will be valid for the rescheduled date. Ticketholders should hold on to their tickets or refunds can be requested at the point of purchase.

Nine Harrah’s Entertainment Las Vegas restaurants participated in this year’s Restaurant Week to benefit Three Square Food Bank. Collectively, the restaurants raised enough profits for 33,708 meals to aid those in Southern Nevada struggling with hunger. Participating restaurants included Bradley Ogden, Mesa Grill, Rao’s and Serendipity 3 at Caesars Palace; Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris Las Vegas; Strip House at Planet Hollywood; KGB: Kerry’s Gourmet Burgers at Harrah’s Las Vegas; Steakhouse46 at Flamingo Las Vegas; and Martorano’s at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Each restaurant offered special three-course menus for lunch and/or dinner with a portion of each cover donated to Three Square.

Two talented young singers, Autumn Belanger & Katie Dix, are the newest tribute artists joining the cast of American Superstars, as Lady Gaga and Carrie Underwood respectively at the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Towers. Also returning to the lineup is Johnny Potash as Charlie Daniels.

CSI: The Experience, the popular, worldwide phenomenon based on the hit CBS show, celebrates an exceptional first year at MGM Grand on the Las Vegas Strip. In honor of the first anniversary, CSI: The Experience will donate $1 from every ticket sold during the anniversary celebration, September 20-26, to the Nevada Victims of Crime Program.Located along MGM Grand’s Studio Walk, CSI: The Experience is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with the average experience lasting between 60 and 90 minutes.  General admission is $30 per person; re-entries are priced at $26 with proof of prior admission CSI: The Experience is designed for guests 12 years of age or older.

The Stratosphere Casino Hotel and Tower will host a free NASCAR® Camping World Truck Series Driver autograph session Friday, Sept. 24, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The session will be located in the casino at 2000 Las Vegas Blvd. South, and will kick off the pre-event festivities for the NASCAR® Camping World Truck Series Las Vegas 350 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Topping the list of drivers scheduled to appear is Jeffrey Earnhardt, grandson of seven-time NASCAR® Cup Series Champion Dale Earnhardt and son of veteran driver Kerry Earnhardt, who will make his first driver appearance in Las Vegas. Joining Earnhardt will be last year’s race winner Johnny Sauter, 2006 Truck Series champion Todd Bodine, Matt Crafton, Aric Almirola, Stacy Compto n, Brian Ickler, Ricky Carmichael, David Starr, Jason White, Carl Long, James Buescher, Narain Karthikeyan, Jennifer Jo Cobb, Tony Jackson, Jr, Mario Gosselin, Mike Harmon, Jamie Dick, Chris Jones, Clay Greenfield, Bobby Hamilton, Jr. and former Formula One star Nelson Piquet, Jr.  More drivers are expected to sign up as the event draws near.

A live radio remote will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the first 200 fans in line will receive tickets to Saturday’s race and NEON garage passes compliments of KKLZ 96.3 radio. At 9:00 p.m. a drawing for driver merchandise including t-shirts, hats and autographed sheet metal from race trucks will follow the autograph session.  Every new and existing ace | PLAY™ member will receive one free drawing ticket each day. Additional tickets will be awarded based on points earned for slot play during the promotion.  Complete rules will be posted at the event.

Multi-talented performer Ashanti will perform a live concert at Harrah’s Carnaval Court one-night only on Saturday, September 25 at 10:00 p.m. Tickets start at $20 and are on sale now.

The UNLV Performing Arts Center opens its 2010-11 Season with two-time Grammy Award-winning violinist Hilary Hahn at 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 30 as part of the Charles Vanda Master Series. Hahn, and celebrated 22-year-old pianist Natasha Paremski, join the UNLV Symphony Orchestra, led by music director and conductor Taras Krysa, in a program that includes Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto and Brahms’ Piano Concerto No.1. Tickets are $35, $50, and $70 and can be purchased at the Performing Arts Center Box Office at 895-ARTS (2787) or by visiting pac.unlv.edu.

The Rat Pack Is Back! tribute show has signed a three-year contract at the Plaza Hotel & Casino, reliving the days of the famous Rat Pack . The melodic cast of the harmonious characters include, Frank, Sammy, Dean and Joey, who perform their classic songs such as, “When Somebody Loves You,” and “Luck Be a Lady” with an impressive twelve-piece orchestra. Showtimes are nightly at 7:30pm in the Copa Room. Tickets start at $49.99 plus tax.  A Vegas-style dinner, booth and VIP packages are also available.

Currently celebrating his show’s 10th anniversary at Harrah’s, Las Vegas Comedy-magician Mac King has extended his contract with the casino/resort for another five years through 2015 for a historic 15-year run.

Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art (BGFA) is offering free admission day on October 2 to thank loyal patrons and introduce new ones to BGFA.  In honor of Smithsonian Magazine’s Annual Museum Day which offers complimentary entry to designated museums and cultural institutions across the country, BGFA will welcome all  guests free of charge to experience “Figuratively Speaking: A Survey of the Human Form,” an engaging survey of figurative art through the ages.  "We are thrilled to open our doors to the public gratis and introduce first-time visitors to what we have to offer," said BGFA Director Tarissa Tiberti.  "This also is an opportunity to thank our regular patrons for supporting us throughout the year."

The UNLV Department of Dance presents “Together 3,” an exciting dance collaboration between the departments of dance at UNLV and Korea National Sport University in Seoul, South Korea, October 1 - 2 in the Judy Bayley Theatre. Outstanding and internationally acclaimed dance faculty from each institution will present work, along with 30 students who will perform choreography.  The concert promises a mix of contemporary dance, traditional Korean dance, ballet, and jazz.   Performances are October 1 at 8 p.m. and October 2 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tickets are $18 general admission, and $10 for students, seniors, military, and UNLV faculty and staff.

The high-energy, popular Norwegian group, Lindesnes Trekkspillklubbill, comprised of nearly two dozen accordionists, three guitarists, vocalists, a washboard player and a repertoire of mostly Scandinavian music, perform Monday, October 4 at 7 p.m. at Community Lutheran Church, 4720 East Tropicana Ave., as part of its five-stop tour across the United States. Tickets are just $10 each and $5 for children under 12.

Disney Live! presents Mickey’s Magic Show visits Las Vegas October 9 and 10 for 4 performances at the Orleans Arena. Disney Live! presents Mickey’s Magic Show features grand illusions and favorite Disney characters, including Donald and Goofy; Cinderella and her Fairy Godmother; Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter; and beloved Disney princesses Jasmine, Belle and Snow White.

Jabbawockeez, the world famous dance crew, will be returning to Las Vegas with their groundbreaking show “MÜS.I.C.,” at Monte Carlo Resort and Casino beginning Thursday, Oct. 7 with performances at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The critically acclaimed show, described as an audio-visual story of inspiration brought to life through the harmonization of sound and movement, quickly became a sold-out success during its initial runs. Tickets are priced at $79, $59 and $49, not including applicable service charges and taxes.

Closings:

Fleur de Lys at Mandalay Bay closed temporarily on September 12.  Through the innovative mind of Hubert Keller, the restaurant will evolve to be the Top Chef’s latest fashionable epicurean experience. The new concept is anticipated to reopen in December and will feature updated décor, an expanded patio and a newly designed menu.

Due to the economic downturn and the decline in the number of visitors, after 31 years of operation, the Liberace Museum will close its doors on Sunday, October 17, 2010 and focus primarily on its dedication to the Foundation and the donation of scholarships. A national touring exhibit is planned, and details will be announced at a later time. The board will also continue to research options for a location change to make the Museum more accessible to potential patrons.

The Plaza Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas will close its 1,037-room hotel tower and lay off more than 400 employees within the next two months. Tamares Real Estate said it would renovate the 39-year-old property, including the guest rooms and casino. To clarify any confusion that may have arisen about the temporary room closures, The Rat Pack Is Back! show will remain OPEN!   The showroom is located off the casino floor and the hotel’s renovations will not have any effect on the production of the show.

Boston Celtics star Jermaine O’Neal was spotted at the new Henderson hotspot Republic Kitchen & Bar on Thursday night.

John Dolmayan, drummer for System of a Down, partied at Moon Nightclub inside Palms Casino Resort.

Rapper Asher Roth dined at UNION. Afterwards, he performed a crowd- pleasing performance at HAZE Nightclub!

Friday night, September 10...

Celebrity journalist Robin Leach and celebrity hairstylist Michael Boychuck celebrated their birthdays at Blush Boutique Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas. The festivities started at Society Café Encore where Leach and friends were presented with an oversized chocolate birthday cake. The group then moved over to Blush and a VIP area. Leach and Boychuck were joined by numerous celebrity friends including Peepshow star Holly Madison and her Holly’s World co-stars Angel Porrino and Laura Croft, Motley Crue front man Vince Neil, and Mindfreak Criss Angel. Angel and Neil got on the microphone to wish Leach and Boychuck a Happy Birthday.

Also at Blush was WWE CEO Vince McMahon with four people in a VIP area.

Sweet and sexy starlet Chanel “CC” Dudley, best known from Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory on MTV, hosted a night to remember at PURE Nightclub.

Also making PURE his part spot of choice was Elton Brand, power forward for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Comedian Dave Chappelle was spotted in the nightclub at TAO.

At LAVO actor Matt Dallas took over a table on the dance floor with a group of eight friends.

Thursday night September 16...

Dana White, president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), and three friends dined at N9NE Steakhouse inside Palms Casino Resort. After dinner, White and friends headed to The Cult concert at The Pearl.

British rock band, The Cult, partied at ghostbar with 10 friends before making their way over to Playboy Club around 2 a.m.

Simon Rex, aka Dirty Nasty and Beardo hosted at TAO’s Worship Thursday.  The duo dined at the Asian bistro, gearing up for the night.

Vanessa Hudgens and Brittany Snow were also spotted enjoying a late dinner.

Both groups headed to the nightclub for Worship Thursday.  Dirt Nasty and Beardo entertained the crowd with a surprise performance of their songs “I Can’t Dance” and “1980” while Hudgens and Snow watched from a sky box. Jareb Dauplaise from The Hard Times of RJ Berger arrived around midnight and joined Dirt Nasty’s VIP table in the upper moat.

Also spotted in the club, Joseph Brobeck, bassist for band The Cab, Panic at the Disco’s Ian Smith and a group of reality stars from Big Brother including Laura Crosby, Ronnie Talbot, James Rhine, Michello Noonan and Russel Kairouz.
