Shake Shack brings fourth Southern Nevada location to Henderson
Shake Shack opened its fourth Southern Nevada location and its first in Henderson, on Wednesday, July 12th at 2225 Village Walk Drive in The District at Green Valley Ranch, the finely curated shopping, dining and entertainment destination.
Participating in the official ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:45 am were executives from Shake Shack, along with Henderson Mayor Debra March, other dignitaries and representatives from The District at Green Valley Ranch and the Henderson Chamber of Commerce. Immediately following the ceremony, the doors were open to the public and the first 100 customers to make a purchase received a free Pie Oh My concrete with purchase.
Shake Shack has built a reputation as a modern day “roadside” burger stand known for its 100% all-natural, antibiotic-free Angus beef burgers, chicken (no hormones added ever), griddled flat-top dogs, fresh-made frozen custard, crispy crinkle cut fries, beer, wine and more.

In keeping with Shake Shack’s commitment to green architecture and eco-friendly construction, the Henderson Shack is constructed with recycled and sustainable materials. The walls are clad in reclaimed cedar and Oregon White oak logs salvaged, milled and repurposed into wooden planks. Tabletops are made by CounterEvolution using reclaimed bowling alley lanes and booths are crafted from lumber certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.

Magician Mat Franco was honored on July 10 with the unveiling of his new namesake marquee, Mat Franco Theater at The LINQ Hotel & Casino, which was renamed by the center-Strip resort in celebration of his continued career success.

Kicking off the milestone afternoon, the property’s regional president, Eileen Moore welcomed the crowd of invited guests and fans before inviting Mat to help her in unveiling the venue’s new signage. “Today’s a special day for us here at The LINQ, because we’re able to rename The LINQ Theater in Mat’s honor and really put a world-class stamp on our property,” shared Moore.

After revealing the long-awaited marquee, Franco expressed his gratitude for his producers and management teams at BASE Entertainment, Caesars Entertainment, and Red Light Management, as well as his mass of supporters and fans. “But we have more than a quarter of a million people who’ve all come through these doors over the last two years to thank most of all,” shared Franco.

Moore then introduced Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick, who presented Franco with a plaque proclaiming July 10, 2017 as “Mat Franco Day” on the Las Vegas Strip and throughout the county. Commissioner Kirkpatrick concluded the presentation by surprising Franco with his very own Key to The Strip, an honor bestowed upon The Strip’s top entertainers and public figures.

The Las Vegas City Council will vote to approve a stadium lease agreement for a United Soccer League (USL) expansion team to begin play during the 2018 season at Cashman Field. While there, he talked with movie producer and owner of Hollywood's TCL Chinese Theatre Elie Samaha and Sugar Factory founder Charissa Davidovici about their upcoming collaboration on Theatre Box, a one-of-a-kind 70,000 square-foot entertainment complex with eight luxury theatres and 700 seats combined, including San Diego's first IMAX, opening in San Diego in spring 2018.

Following the surprise cancellation of her fight against Amanda Nunes, decorated kickboxer and muay thai fighter Valentina ‘Bullet’ Shevchenko arrived at Chateau with a large group of friends. The enjoyed her private VIP booth and bottle service, while mingling with fans. Her night continued with a confetti shower raining over the crowd as she, too, was presented with signs by Chateau servers. The rooftop club might not have been the octagon ring, but that didn’t stop Shevchenko from having a good time and partying into the early morning hours.

After participating in the ‘Women of UFC’ panel and autograph sessions, MMA fighter Michelle ‘The Karate Hottie’ Waterson hosted the Friday after-party at Chateau Nightclub & Rooftop at Paris Las Vegas. Arriving at the club with her husband, Joshua Gomez, and a group of friends she made her way to her lavish VIP booth in the center of the club, where she was surprised with a confetti shower raining over the crowd. Fifth Harmony band member Ally Brooke celebrated her 24th birthday at TAO Nightclub in The Venetian. The singer had dinner at TAO restaurant before heading up to a VIP table in the nightclub. Upon arrival, Brooke was treated to a special presentation from TAO staff complete with a pink and gold birthday cake.
Also at TAO Nightclub was UFC fighter Urijah Faber who celebrated his recent induction into the Hall of Fame. Joined by a large group, the MMA star took in Worship Thursday as DJ Mustard manned the decks.
At separate VIP tables were basketball stars Patrick Beverly of the Los Angeles Clippers and C.J. Watson of the Orlando Magic, both partying the night away with friends.
