Dueling Pianos and Hal Savar Band Among the New Acts This Winter in The Lounge at Palms Casino Resort

 Fan favorites Franky Perez, Sin City Sinners and Pop Strings Orchestra return for more free live entertainment

 

LAS VEGAS – February 1, 2016 – The Lounge inside Palms Casino Resort continues to offer guests affordable and intimate entertainment, including various performances from all genres of the arts. Performances are open to the public, but guests must be 21 years of age and older. Some events listed may have additional fees.

Artist: The Hal Savar Band

Description: One of the most exciting new bands to develop in Las Vegas over the past few years, The Hal Savar Band brings a sizzling interactive show to audiences with a phenomenal mix of equal parts versatile request cover band and original folk rock blues band. The press has called Savar a “Live Human Juke Box” and his band “A cover band on steroids!” With a core group of musicians that are led by Savar as lead singer, this versatile musician brings hundreds of songs masterfully mixed into one show—Folk, Rock, Country, Oldies, Top 40, R&B, Rap, Hip Hop, Reggae, Classic Rock, Blues and more.

Description: Jeremy James moved to Las Vegas seven years ago from Dayton, Ohio and set out to make the most interesting one-man show in the city. Knowing that music is an ever-changing field, James put together a 700 song set list that spans 50 years of favorites.

 

Fans may hear songs by the likes of Journey, Kings of Leon, Johnny Cash or Billy Joel, Mumford and Sons and the Lumineers. There’s also a mix of pop, dance and country with acts such as Justin Timberlake, Stevie Wonder, Garth Brooks, Zac Brown Band and many others. James mixes his acoustic skills with state-of-the-art electronics, such as looping pedals and effects processors, to create a rich, full, complete band sound without using any pre-recorded backing tracks. Every song is built live on stage with no smoke or mirrors.

Description: Franky Perez, a natural talent who was already a seasoned veteran of the Vegas music scene by the age of 16, now performs a mix of rock classics and originals, including tracks from 2014’s release ADDICT. Through the years he has lent his unique voice to some of the biggest names in rock music from fronting Scars on Broadway with Daron Malakian and John Dolmayan both of the band System of a Down to lending vocals to Camp Freddy and even Slash’s band. Perez’s music can be heard on the FX television series “Sons of Anarchy” – a relationship that continued until the series finale’s final song. Voted Best Free Show from Vegas Seven magazine’s “Best of the City,” seeing Perez live at The Lounge is a rare chance for fans to catch him when he’s not fronting Finnish rock band Apocalyptica and touring the world.

The Sin City Sinners are Las Vegas’ top headlining rock band. The Sinners are more than just a band, it’s an experience… What began in 2007 as a weekly ‘just for fun’ jam at a local dive bar, evolved into standing room only shows featuring appearances by some of rocks hottest musicians and celebrities. This performance in The Lounge finds the band on the brink of the group’s new release of all original material Living Like A Sinner (February 14, 2016), which is the first album of original songs since the band’s debut release Exile On Fremont Street.  The new album reflects the strong musicianship of the band’s current lineup, Joshua Alan (vocals), Michael “Doc” Ellis (guitar), Scotty Griffin (bass) and Blas Elias (drums).

 

The band is known for its loyal fan base and strong social media ties have led to The Sinners winning numerous awards including the “Best of Las Vegas” readers’ poll from The Las Vegas Review Journal.

Award-winning David Perrico (Best of Las Vegas 2013-Review Journal) is one of Las Vegas’ most in-demand musicians. His Pop Strings Orchestra features high-energy performances of Top 40 club favorites with modern orchestrations by Perrico. A celebrated trumpeter, Perrico leads the impressive 15-piece ensemble of strings, horns, rhythm section, featuring Naomi Mauro and Eric Sean’s powerful vocals. Like Perrico’s other musical venture, Pop Evolution, the Pop Strings Orchestra is comprised of the leading musicians from the city’s major productions shows and bands. Performances will feature arrangements of songs made popular by Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, Nikki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Daft Punk, Fergie, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Cee Lo and club hits in the contemporary ensemble’s classic setting.

Description: Party like it’s 1987 with Las Vegas based heavy metal band Cyanide. The band released their debut album Lethal Dose in January, taking influence from iconic metal bands of the ’70s and ’80s with 11- high octane, sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll-fueled tracks. From the up-tempo opener “Bitches to Blame” to the sleazy album closer “Whole ’Lotta Trouble” (dedicated to the legendary Sheri’s Ranch), this album brings back the spirit and attitude of rock ‘n’ roll.  Cyanide has opened for Skid Row, Stephen Pearcy of Ratt, Bulletboys, Black ‘N Blue, Tuff, Femme Fetale and Cheap Thrill. The band comprises of vocalist Rob Hussey, guitarist Marc Andrews, bassist David Karr, drummer Ryan Gillan and Miranda Trenholm on backing vocals. With a mix of covers and originals, Cyanide aims to bring back ’80s hard rock to a new generation.

The Witnesses are currently touring in support of their second Warrior Records/Universal Music Distribution release titled, BLOWa collection of original music as eclectic and unique as each member of this powerhouse band. As energetic and over-the-top as their live shows, BLOW continues the ever-changing musical journey that Prima Sr. began in the 1930s. This is the band’s first and only Las Vegas date during their 2016 tour, since their sold-out Vegas show last year.
