Terry Fator Launches New Show in Conjunction with 10th Anniversary at The Mirage Hotel & Casino

Master ventriloquist/singer/impressionist Terry Fator celebrated his 10 year anniversary as headliner at The Mirage Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Friday night, March15. He kicked off the evening in a pre-show ceremony by receiving the Key to the Las Vegas Strip by Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom who also proclaimed March 15 as Terry Fator Day.

In conjunction with his anniversary, the multi-talented performer launched a new show aptly titled, Terry Fator: The VOICE of Entertainment Presents an Evening with the Stars.

Fator continues to keep a promise made 10 years ago - to create a new character each year he was performing at The Strip property. This year, in addition to introducing four new characters, new songs, jokes and hilarity also join the lineup. An Evening with the Stars features the puppets fans have come to know and love, including Winston, the Impersonating turtle, red-haired teen singing sensation Emma Thompson, country singer Walter T. Airdale, Maynard Thompkins, the World's Greatest Elvis impersonator, annoying neighbor/stoner Dougie Scott Walker, soul singer Julius, Latin lover Fernando Francisco, the return of fan favorite Wrex the Crash Test Dummy, and the introduction to new superstar characters: Willie Nelson; Justin Bieber, David Bowie and Stevie Wonder. In addition, Fator brings the Oceans 11 Rat Pack back to Las Vegas with special appearances by Sammy Davis Jr. and Dean Martin.

Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada Honors local heroes and childhood cancer survivors at annual Evening of Hope Gala

Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada held its annual Ray of Hope Honoree Luncheon and Evening of Hope Gala Friday, March 8 and Saturday, March 9. The events raised more than $250,000 to support local families battling pediatric cancer through financial assistance, emotional support and quality of life services.  Candlelighters is southern Nevada’s first and oldest nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting local pediatric cancer patients.

“It is our dream that, one day, there will no longer be a need for our services in the community,” said Avi Dan-Goor, Candlelighters Board Member and Evening of Hope Chairman. “We look forward to a time when no one in our community faces the devastation of childhood cancer; however, until that day arrives, Candlelighters will be here to support our families in their fight. And, we are so grateful to those in the community who join us in this effort by giving back and supporting events like Evening of Hope so we can support these courageous children in their journeys.”
