Belle Ange Salon & Spa Grand Opening

If you happened to see angels on Eastern last Sunday (November 15) it’s because a new salon and spa/medi spa had its grand opening, attended by several of the feather-clad beings as well as their earthly counterparts.

Belle-Ange-238

The Belle Ange (Beautiful Angel) opened its doors in a gala event that featured tours, interviews, photo ops and spa food (vegetables, crudités, fruit and cheese, all very artistically displayed). Scented candles, dimly lit rooms (spa) brightly lit rooms (salon) and frosted glass doors await a discerning clientele.

Chic interiors feature elegantly appointed hair, manicure and pedicure stations. There’s an in-house artistic director of cut as well as an artistic director of color for ultra-personalized service.

One large, serene room features a glistening Buddha in running water who oversees a room in which relaxation and contemplation occur. This is where you’ll wait to be summoned to your spa service in curvaceous white chaise lounges that beckon invitingly.

Then you’ll be escorted through the black-walled hallway to your private room for a massage, facial, or salt scrub. You may prefer a Champagne Rose or Chocolate Indulgence body treatment instead. All are $65 with the exception of the French Clay Wrap ($75).

Other rooms accommodate couples. The Soiree Romantique package ($750 for two) includes a hot stone massage and a Champagne Roman Bath among other luxuries. There are individual ladies and gentlemen’s packages as well, ranging in price from $375 - $575. You’ll be occupied with specialized services for 5-6 hours. Custom Bridal and Groom packages are available on request.

Medical spa services include Botox, Juvederm, photo facials, laser treatments, microdermabrasion, non-surgical facelifts, and permanent makeup. Costs range from $200-600 with some treatments’ price tag listed as “per consultation.”

A full-service salon offers cut, color and chemical services, manicures and pedicures, along with paraffin treatment for hands and feet. ($30-$150 and per consultation for some hair services).

Owner, CEO and President, Dr. Renee M. Reichert, an orthopedic surgeon from your humble correspondent’s hometown of Chicago, oversees the medical aspects of the spa’s operation, along with Reva Frey, R.N., and aesthetic facial specialist specializing in injectable cosmetics. The doctor and nurse team are a reassuring presence of professional expertise when it comes to conducting some of the more (mildly) invasive treatments.

Belle Ange Salon & Spa is a place where transformations literally happen. One spa package is called the Extreme Transformation and features a hair color makeover, master cut and style, a classic facial, full set of acrylic nails, pedicure, professional makeup and a salon catered lunch ($575). In six hours you can go from ordinary organism to celestial sensation. Throw in a massage – they start at $100 - and you can truthfully brag that your entire body has been creatively manipulated into aesthetic ecstasy.

After all, a place whose name means “beautiful angel” just may produce an experience that’s out of this world without ever having to leave the neighborhood.
