on what to expect at this year's upcoming culinary extravaganza, Vegas Uncork'd presented by Bon Apetit magazine. Guests were offered samplings of several of the culinary confections planned for the upcoming Vegas Uncork’d event and were also given a tour of the spectacular new Garden of the Gods pool oasis, the setting for this year’s crown jewel event - The Grand Tasting.

Later in the evening, at the 36th Annual UNLVino® Bubble-Licious event Payard was honored with the Dom Pérginon Award of Excellence, which is given to those individuals who have distinguished themselves in the hospitality industry by setting an example for the students through their leadership, character, and inspirational work ethic.

Vegas Uncork'd is a unique, four-day culinary extravaganza featuring 31 intimate luncheons, dinners, tastings and other entertaining culinary experiences at six resorts including Bellagio, Caesars Palace, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, Wynn/Encore and The Venetian/The Palazzo. Unlike many other high-profile culinary festivals, Vegas Uncork’d offers food and wine connoisseurs the chance to literally rub elbows with some of the world’s most celebrated chefs and expert sommeliers. Among the huge collection of famous chefs that will participate include Paul Bartolotta, Cat Cora, Alain Ducasse, Todd English, Bobby Flay, Joël Robuchon, Wolfgang Puck and many more, as well as Bon Appétit magazine Editor-in-Chief Barbara Fairchild.

This year, the Garden of the Gods Pools and Gardens has gone through an expansion and will host the culinary extravaganza at five pools compared to last year's two. The impressive area will be full of more restaurants and vintners than any other year. Currently, The Grand Tasting will boast more than 50 top-tier restaurants and 30 wineries – more than ever before

The swimming and lounging oasis has been completely redesigned and rebuilt, creating a destination within a destination and spanning five acres and features eight distinctive swimming pools with lavish amenities including the new Fortuna pool with an 18-foot waterfall where guests can challenge Lady Luck at the swim-up blackjack tables. Designed by famed hospitality firm Allard & Conversano, the Garden of the Gods is situated on three levels, at the heart of Caesars Palace. Complete with classically inspired landscaping, statues and fountains, the area has been custom-designed with hundreds of new vibrant blue deck chairs, plush daybeds, loveseat-inspired scoop chairs and 44 new private and luxurious cabanas. There is also an all new whirlpool retreat and an added garden wedding venue.
