Word is that remodeling and expansion plans are in the works for the Lady Luck Casino, which closed its doors in downtown Las Vegas in 2006. The plans are on the agenda for Las Vegas City Planning Commission and needs to be approved by the City Council.

Celebrating its 20thAnniversary, the  the annual Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend will take place Thursday, June 3 through Sunday, June 6 at The Plaza Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas. Recognized as the world's top showcase for international burlesque entertainers and enthusiasts, the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend attracts outstanding artists, both exotic and mainstream. Top talent are scheduled to appear including Miss Exotic World 2009 and Las Vegas native Kalani Kokonuts. Multi-platinum recording artist 50 Cent will perform at The Pearl Concert Theater inside the Palms Casino Resort on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 9:00 p.m as part of his 18-city US tour, The Invitation. Focusing on a more intimate, unique experience for his fans, The Invitation will feature 50 performing hits spanning his multi-platinum catalogue. Campus MovieFest (CMF), the world’s largest student film festival, concludes its 2009-10 tour with its International Grand Finale (IGF) at Wynn Las Vegas. Legendary comedian Don Rickles brings his one-of-a-kind comedy back to The Orleans Showroom June 5 and 6, at 8 p.m. each night. Popular Vegas act Shades of Sinatra will perform prior to Rickles taking the stage, kicking off the evening with a vintage musical flair. Tickets  start from $74.95, plus tax and convenience fees.

The 2nd Annual “Singles in Sin City” event, an electric three days devoted to singles looking for Mr. or Ms. Right and even Mr. or Ms. Right Now, will return to Luxor Hotel and Casino June 11-13.  The fun-filled weekend party will feature special room packages and unique events including Speed Dating, the Singles Pool Party that will bring an extra level of excitement to the traditional dating routine, and a concert performance by popular singer/songwriter Gavin DeGraw at LAX.

Just in time for summer vacation, America’s favorite brother and sister duo and Flamingo headliners Donny & Marie will perform a one-time-only matinee show at 4:00 p.m. on June 12. They will not perform the regular 7:30 p.m. show on June 12. The show is dark from June 15-19, returning June 22.

Las Vegas based HIV/AIDS charity Golden Rainbow is hosting its annual “Ribbon of Life” fundraising production show on Sunday, June 13 at the Las Vegas Hilton. Golden Rainbow provides housing and direct financial assistance to men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS in southern Nevada while also supporting HIV/AIDS related education. The 24th annual “Ribbon of Life” is an incredible, all-original production show featuring performers from “Jubilee!,” Studio 54, “Viva ELVIS,” “PEEPSHOW,” “Phantom - The Las Vegas Spectacular,” “JERSEY BOYS,” “Zumanity,” “LOVE,” “KÀ” and “LE RÊVE” with additional performers being announced soon.  Everyone participating in the 24th annual “Ribbon of Life” has donated their time and talents to the cause. The Venetian Las Vegas hosts a one-night-only poolside concert with The Beach Boys on Thursday, June 17 at 8 p.m.  Ticket prices are $25 and $45 plus additional tax and handling fees. A limited number of concert and suite packages are also available.

Tuesday night, May 25, Dustin Diamond, Screech from the TV series Saved By the Bell, hosted at LAVO in celebration of National Nerd Day.  Diamond dined with friends at the Italian eatery before heading upstairs to the nightclub, which was filled with club goers decked out in their best nerd gear.  He MC’d the contest, which awarded $1000 to the sexiest nerd.

Also spotted at Lavo was Cesar Millan.  The Dog Whisperer dined on Lavo’s expansive Strip front terrace with a friend and then took over a VIP table in the nightclub.

Wednesday, May 26...

Poker pro Scotty Nguyen was spotted at Lavo for Label Junkie Wednesday, arriving with a large group of 25.

Two of History Channel’s Pawn Stars, Corey “Big Hoss” Harrison and Chumlee stopped by and checked out Grandma Lee’s show at Bonkerz Comedy Club, as they are big fans of hers from “America’s Got Talent.”

Thursday night, May 27,Washington Redskins Larry Johnson and Clinton Portis, Joe Johnson of the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks and Chicago Bull Luol Deng Spotted at TAO Nightclub’s Worship Thursday.

At  the long awaited opening of Encore Beach Club and Surrender Nightclub was Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher enjoying the afternoon in one of the 350- square foot bungalows,  while linebackers Terrell Suggs of the Baltimore Ravens and Nick Barnett from the Green Bay Packers commanded a cabana. Local headliner Carrot Top walked the venue and posed for photos with fans before enjoying a snack at the Encore Beach Club Grill.

The party continued in the evening with the opening of Surrender Nightclub. Club goers crowded the DJ booth to hear the electro house tunes of DJ Steve Aoki, who took over the outdoor turntables at 1am for his weekly residency at "Aoki's House”. Returning to the newest Las Vegas hotspot was Urlacher, who took over one of Surrender's indoor VIP booths.

TAO Beach kicked off Memorial Day Weekend with a birthday celebration for Dancing with the Stars pro, Cheryl Burke who turned 26 earlier this month. She had to delay her birthday party because the hit show was still in progress, but was thrilled to see her cake which was modeled after the trophy from the show.  She was joined by friends in a cabana, including dance pro Mark Ballas, who is celebrating his 24th birthday, and original Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts.  Mark’s dad Corky even stopped by to hang in the cabana.

Mark Ballas celebrated  his 24th birthday with dinner at TAO Asian Bistro with a group of friends that included Ashley Roberts.   After dinner they took over a sky box in the nightclub where they were joined by fellow Dancing With The Stars pros Cheryl Burke, Edyta Sliwinskya and Alec Mazo and actress Shannon Elizabeth.  Ballas was surprised with a cake made to look like the Dancing With the Stars trophy.

The Dancing With The Stars night continued as 2nd season contestant Stacy Keibler dined at TAO with friends. 

Also spotted dining under the watchful eye of Tao’s Buddha was Chuy Bravo – Chelsea Handler’s sidekick, and Chris Franjola, a comedian who appears regularly on Chelsea Lately on E!

Up in the nightclub Washington Redskin Larry Johnson returned for the second night in a row.

At Lavo New York Knick Al Harrington was spotted up in the nightclub with a group of friends.

MGM Grand's Studio 54 was the ultimate destination for UFC fighters, including Anderson Silva, Clay Guida, Junior Dos Santos and many more. Silver Star Casting Company and UFC Magazine hosted the official UFC 114 pre-party and the industry's who's who danced the night away at the legendary Vegas hot spot.

UFC stars in attendance included Anderson Silva, Clay Guida, Junior Dos Santos, Antonio Nogueira, Gabriel Gonzaga, Melvin Guillard, Joey Villasenor, Phil Baroni, Jamie Yager and John Chaimberg.

Silver Star owners Luke and Charis Barrett, of Playboy fame, played host to the knock-out kings.

2007 “Playmate of the Year,” Sara Jean Underwood and fellow Playmate Kelly Carrington hosted the “Bunny Bash” at Eva Longoria Parker's nightclub, Eve along with Playmate and DJ Tamara Sky. Terrell Owens (T.O.) partied at the CityCenter hotspot, while Green Bay Packers linebacker Nick Barnett celebrated his birthday with friends and fellow NFL athletes Keith Ellison (Buffalo Bills), Terrell Suggs (Baltimore Ravens), Zac Diles (Houston Texans) and Elvis Dumervil (Denver Broncos), and NBA superstars Jermaine O’Neal (Miami Heat) and Rudy Gay (Memphis Grizzlies).

Saturday, May 29...

Celebs and sports stars partied under the sun at Tao Beach.  One cabana alone had notables including Wilmer Valderrama, Stacy Keibler, Larry Johnson of the Washington Redskins and Reggie Bush and Larry Fitzgerald from the New Orleans Saints all enjoying the day together.  Dancing With The Stars pros Mark Ballas and Cheryl Burke were joined by  Ashley Roberts on a day bed. Stephen Colletti from One Tree Hill was also spotted at Tao Beach. 

Later that night Valderrama dined at TAO Asian Bistro  while Super Bowl champ Reggie Bush dined nearby with friends.  Also seen in the restaurant, Cincinnati Bengal Roy Williams and TAO regular David Spade.

The Hills sidekick Frankie Delgado celebrated his birthday with dinner under the famed TAO Buddha joined by guests including Stephanie Pratt, who was showing off her new boyfriend ---two time gold medal motocross champion Josh Hanson, and Jesse McCartney.

Sexy Sam Worthington from Avatar was spotted drinking beer with friends at a table overlooking the club.

Across the way at Lavo, Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker, his wife Keisha and producer Damon Elliott, who is the son of Dionne Warwick, dined together at the Italian eatery.  Stacy Keibler stopped by to chat with the group before dining nearby with a female friend. 

Cheryl Burke and a few friends had an early dinner while her DWTS co-star Mark Ballas was spotted dining later in the night with his father Corky and Ashley Roberts. 

Up in the nightclub Burke and friends danced until the club closed, as did director Arthur Landon and friends.  San Francisco 49er running back Glenwood Coffee and a group of friends were also spotted.

A number of celebrities were at the Grand Opening of Encore Beach Club and Surrender Nightclub. In the afternoon, R & B sensation Ne-Yo arrived at Encore Beach Club at 2 p.m. and settled into a second story cabana. He posed for pictures with fans until shortly before 5 p.m., when he headed back to his suite to prepare for his performance later that evening at Surrender Nightclub.

At about 3 p.m., Paris Hilton arrived at Encore Beach Club with two girlfriends.  Around the same time, New Orleans running back Reggie Bush showed up. Fellow Saint Jahri Evans was also spotted partying under the sun, as were Ryan Grant of the Green Bay Packers and St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson. Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher returned for a second day with teammates Israel Idonije and Adewale Ogunleye.

Later that evening at Surrender Nightclub, Ne-Yo took center stage for a 20-minute performance under the stars. During his first song, "Miss Independent," he grabbed socialite Paris Hilton from the audience and brought her onto the stage to dance to the hit tune.

Also at Surrender was UFC president Dana White.

Eva Longoria Parker, joined by family and friends, threw a lavish birthday party for her husband, Tony Parker at her steakhouse, Beso and stylish nightclub, Eve, in Crystals at CityCenter Las Vegas. An ornate black and white tiered birthday cake with oversized letters that spelled out “TONY,” was presented around 1 a.m.

After the highly anticipated UFC 114 mixed martial arts battle at the MGM Grand resulted in a unanimous win for Rashad Evans, hundreds of loyal fans gathered outside Tabú Ultra Lounge to catch a glimpse of the champion as he entered the sophisticated hot spot for his official post-fight party to celebrate the victory. The UFC winner basked in the glory of his success with an entourage 30-deep, including his supportive wife LaToya.

Famed UFC announcer Bruce Buffer made a surprise appearance at Tabú and took to the mic to offer congratulations to the man of the hour.

Meanwhile, Studio 54 welcomed celebrity UFC fighters Forrest Griffin, Josh Koscheck, Cain Velasquez and fans at its post-fight party. Despite his arm brace, injured Griffin playfully posed on the red carpet with Studio 54 models.

Actor and model Gilles Marini from ABC’s Brothers & Sisters, Dancing with the Stars, and Sex and the City: The Movie celebrated Memorial Day Weekend and the launch of Moët Ice Impérial, the world’s first and only champagne specially made to be served on ice, at Azure Luxury pool at The Palazzo Las Vegas.

The Hills sidekick Frankie Delgado continued his birthday celebration at Lavo with a group that included Lauren Conrad, Jessie McCartney and Reggie Bush, who joined the table at the end.

Also dining at Lavo was Paris Hilton with a group of friends.

Over at Tao, Cheryl Burke dined with a group including Jenny McCarthy. Boris Becker was spotted at the Asian Bistro as well.  After dinner Burke and McCarthy headed up to a nightclub table under the stars at Tao Beach, where they were joined by Mark Ballas.

Memorial Day Weekend's Grand Opening of Encore Beach Club and Surrender Nightclub culminated with the debut of Kaskade Sundays, featuring the electronic music artist Kaskade. Enjoying the set was Avatar star Sam Worthington,  partying with a large group. Also at Encore Beach Club on Sunday, former Dancing With The Stars contestant Stacy Keibler and New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush.

Closing out the weekend festivities later that night at Surrender Nightclub were hit-makers LMFAO and their Party Rock crew, who performed a 30-minute set close to 2 a.m. At the start of their performance Paris Hilton returned to Surrender Nightclub and jumped onto the stage to dance and sing along to the group's song "I'm In Miami Bitch," which was altered for their Vegas location.
