Barry Manilow Brings His Hits to Westgate Resort & Casino
Grammy, Tony, and Emmy Award-winning singer-songwriter, arranger, producer and musician, Barry Manilow is back in Las Vegas as the exclusive headliner at the Westgate International Theater inside the Westgate Resort & Casino.
The legendary entertainer returned to where he previously made his spectacular residency debut on February 24, 2005. This time around Manilow performs a repertoire of hits from his extensive song catalog in a brand new 85-minute stage production that proves at the age of 75 he still has what it takes to be an international superstar. With the energy of a much younger man and a voice that is as amazing and strong as ever, he continues to wow audiences with a commanding performance that has everyone up on their feet and singing along to each of his chart topping hits that remain timeless, including Daybreak, Looks Like We Made It, I Can't Smile Without You, Mandy, I Write The Song, Copacabana and the list goes on. He even includes a nod to his show business beginnings as a writer of TV and radio commercial jingles such as State Farm's “Like a Good Neighbor”, Band-Aid's “Stuck on Band-Aid”; and McDonald's, “You Deserve a Break Today” just to name a few.
Proud to be a product of the Big Apple, the Brooklyn born performer has paid tribute to the city he loves in several of the songs he wrote. That said, prior to entering the theatre audience members are given 3D glasses to wear during a video segment of his show featuring a flying tour over New York City as Barry sings a cover of “On Broadway” and the title song from his latest album “This Is My Town” subtitled, “Songs of New York”. It adds another enjoyable dimension to a fantastic show that is by far one of the best concert experiences in Las Vegas by one of the world's greatest performers.

Eden in Love Celebrates One Year Anniversary in Las Vegas with the Launch of their Brand New Community Marketplace
The retail boutique, Eden in Love, with two locations in Waikiki and Honolulu, celebrated their first anniversary at Town Square in Las Vegas on Saturday, Aug. 4 by saying ‘mahalo’ to all shoppers who where welcomed in the store for an all-day shopping extravaganza that included the debut of their local marketplace and the Vegas-themed TheHeart of Eden collection.
Husband and wife owners, Bryson and Tanna Dang, who flew in from Hawaii for the anniversary celebration, created Eden in Love as a boutique ‘born to give,’ as they constantly give back to their local communities in Las Vegas and Hawaii. One such way is through hosting in-store fundraisers every month. Eden In Love has extended its community support alongside the Las Vegas first anniversary with the launch of their Made in Nevada Marketplace. Eden in Love now has a dedicated section of their boutique that features locally-made products for shoppers to purchase. The marketplace also includes Made in Hawaii products from various Hawaii-based vendors.

Starting Thursday, Aug. 2 and throughout the weekend, Eden in Love and Opportunity Village, Las Vegas’ favorite charity, retailed their silk scarves in store, with a portion of the proceeds going back to the charity. The scarves were created by the Opportunity Village individuals in the Fine and Performing Arts Program and can be found online or at the Opportunity Village campuses.

Kicking off around 1 p.m., the “Vanderpump Rules” starlet alongside the Thunder blokes made their way to The Hangover Bar and welcomed guests. With signature cocktails in hand, Scheana and the Thunder men toasted the official opening of the hottest new bar.

As the event went on, the Thunder gents announced that they would be debuting their shot, Thunder Spank, as the first shooter of the Celebrity Shot Series. Mixed with Malibu Rum, Midori Sour and pineapple juice the guys handed out shots to the crowd and took the first taste. The event was a sight to see as guests took photos and continued through the Hangover experience and officially welcomed The Hangover Bar to the Vegas Strip.
The Hangover Bar is the latest addition to Madame Tussauds Las Vegas and The Hangover Experience, which currently features the notorious hotel suite and wedding chapel, as well as figures of Alan (portrayed by Zach Galifianakis), Phil (portrayed by Bradley Cooper), and Mike Tyson.
Master insult comedian, COLIN KANE kicked off his residency at Vinyl inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on July 27. Kane’s R-rated show, The Wolf, tackled relationships, sex, race and those who were brave enough to sit in the front row. As part of the annual Heroes at Heart campaign, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf®, Las Vegas has raised $3,131 for the Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation. From May 21 through July 8, $1 from each in-store purchase of limited edition coffee and tea blends were donated to the Foundation, which provides support to victims of fires and catastrophic events throughout Las Vegas. In addition to purchasing these speciality blends for their own brews at home, guests had the option to buy both items to donate back to local first responders. As a result, 2,800 bags of coffee and 275 bags of tea were donated and disbursed to local fire stations, the burn unit at University Medical Center and various emergency dispatch and ambulance headquarters.

On Wednesday, August 8, CANNABITION, Las Vegas’ first and only immersive cannabis museum and the world’s only cannabis-themed experience of its kind, took delivery of its most historic and iconic artifact — “THE RED SHARK” — Gonzo Journalist HUNTER THOMPSON'S BELOVED 1973 CHEVROLET CAPRICE CONVERTIBLE that was memorialized in Thompson’s seminal book, “FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS” and also appeared in the 1998 film adaptation. Award-winning grand illusionist DAVID GOLDRAKE is planning to open a new show, set to debut to Las Vegas audiences in Spring, 2019. Following his final performance at the Tropicana on September 30, 2018, David Goldrake will focus on producing and rehearsing for his new headlining magic production.
