Jarrett & Raja Music & Magic Opens at The Stratosphere

Just a few months after closing shop at Hooters Hotel & Casino, internationally acclaimed magic and music duo, Jarrett & Raja, who have appeared on Shark Tank, America's Got Talent and Masters of Illusion, celebrated the Grand Opening of their afternoon show Magic Vs. Music at the Stratosphere Hotel & Casino on Thursday, October 16. It is the same show they performed at Hooters featuring stage assistant/dancer Andi and powerful singing sensation JR Phelps, who belts out magic themed songs. However, the move to this venue gives the handsome and talented showmen a larger stage and showroom to showcase their act.

Jarrett & Raja have put together a unique show that blends magic, music and comedy under the guise of playful rivalry between Jarrett, the magician and Raja, the Julliard trained master pianist, as each competes for stage time to show off their individual, amazing skills.

GRAMMY nominated singer-songwriter Jewel performed her powerful song “Mercy” alongside of some of Vegas’ most celebrated performers including Tenors of Rock, Clint Holmes, Penn & Teller, Blue Man Group, BAZ – A Musical Mash-Up, the cast of Mystère by Cirque du Soleil and more.

The fundraising event was full of memorable moments including hilarious performances by Penn & Teller, Rich Little and Mac King. Pop superstar Britney Spears auctioned off a painting she created that was won by Vegas’ own Robin Leach for $10,000. Additionally, dancers from the show Jubilee made a triumphant return to the stage in their original costumes, for the first time since the show closed in 2016, for a brilliant performance. Prominent male vocalists Frankie Scinta, Chris Phillips, Earl Turner, Sonny Charles, Bubba Knight, Travis Cloer, Adrian Zmed, Vin A. Adinolfi, Jimmy Hopper and Clint Holmes joined forces for a one-of-a-kind sensational medley that was felt throughout the entire theater. The show closed with an emotional performance by local band Elvis Monroe, who were then joined by all the performers in a vivid display of strength for Las Vegas.

“This was by far the most inspirational event I have ever produced...the staff, talent and audience were all loving each other....it was in the air,” said Vegas Cares Producer and BEST Agency CEO, Ken Henderson. “There is always good that comes from bad and Oct. 1 has brought our community together like never before.”
