Emilio and Gloria Estefan Receive Star From Las Vegas Walk of Stars

Latin music legends Gloria and Emilio Estefan received a star from the Las Vegas Walk of Stars in a live ceremony at Crown Theater, inside Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, on Thursday, April 29. Emilio Estefan is Instrumental in shaping, developing and directing the careers of numerous Latin music stars – many of whom have performed in Las Vegas. He is also one of the most successful producers in the music industry and has been a force behind the Latin Grammy’s, an event that has previously been held in Las Vegas.

Singer Gloria Estefan, a music superstar in both English and Spanish, has sold more than 90 million records worldwide and earned seven Grammy awards. No stranger to Las Vegas, Gloria has performed concerts at Caesars Palace.

With hundreds of fans watching, Gloria and Emilio accepted the star and addressed the crowd with a perfect mix of humor and appreciation. Afterwards, the couple stayed for two hours talking to press and taking photos with fans.

This was the first event held in Crown Theater which will serve as an entertainment venue featuring live concerts from acts such as Devo and Jerry Lee Lewis and at night turns into Crown Nightclub with themed nights from Latin and Top 40 to '80s parties. The official opening will take place this June.
