The Pacific Coast Cutting Horse Association’s (PCCHA) “Holy Cow” Performance Horse Futurity will be held in the South Point Arena Thursday, Oct. 5 through Saturday, Oct. 14. Guests will witness some of the best horse cutting professionals compete for cash and prizes. In addition, guests can enjoy a Western gift show, offering the latest in western apparel, art, and more. This event is free and open to the public.
Legacy Team Penning & Ranch Sorting Finals Extravaganza – Thursday, Oct. 19 – Sunday, Oct. 22
South Point Hotel’s Priefert Pavilion will host the Legacy Team Penning and Ranch Sorting Finals Extravaganza Thursday, Oct. 19 through Sunday, Oct. 22. The four-day event will showcase the best pennings and sortings on the West Coast as competitors compete for cash and prizes. The event is free and open to the public.
National Barrel Horse Association “Dash for Cash” – Friday, Oct. 27 – Sunday, Oct. 29
South Point Arena welcomes the inaugural Dash for Cash, hosted by the National Barrel Horse Association (NBHA) Friday, Oct. 27 through Sunday, Oct. 29. Partnering with Real Time Pain Relief, Dash for Cash is an event fans will not want to miss. Riders will show off their speed and swiftness while competing for a $5000 prize. This event is free and open to the public.
73rd Annual California Saddle Horse Futurity – Friday, Oct. 27 – Sunday, Oct. 29
South Point Arena welcomes the 73rd Annual California Saddlebred Horse Futurity Show Friday, Oct. 27 through Sunday, Oct. 29. Fans can expect to see excellent equestrian showmanship during an array of performance classes for American Saddlebreds, Morgans, Ponies, Roadsters, Saddle Seat Equitation and Open Pleasure. This event is free and open to the public.
PBR Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour Finals – Saturday, Oct. 28 – Monday, Oct. 30
South Point Arena will host the Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour Finals, presented by Professional Bull Riders (PBR), from Saturday, Oct. 28 through Monday, Oct. 30. The event serves as the premier expansion tour for the PBR and brings some of the best competitors in the bull riding industry. Tickets are on sale now and start at $25.
PBR Finals Week Western Gift Expo – Friday, Oct. 27 – Saturday, Nov. 4
The PBR Finals Week Western Gift Expo held in conjunction with all of the PBR events at South Point Arena offers PBR fans the ultimate western lifestyle shopping experience. In addition, fans will find a large selection of licensed PBR merchandise in the PBR merchandise booth, located at the Gift Expo. The PBR Finals Week Gift Expo will be open on Friday, Oct. 27 through Monday, Oct. 30 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. during the PBR Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour Finals and the National Barrel Horse Association “Dash for Cash” daily barrel horse race. The Gift Expo will continue Tuesday, Oct. 31 through Saturday, Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily during the ABBI World Finals. PBR fans will also be treated to special appearance by Matt Merritt (Chute Talk) and Flint Rasmussen (Outside the Barrel) throughout the week along with autograph sessions with top PBR bull riders. This event is free and open to the public.

The American Bucking Bull, Inc. (ABBI) World Finals returns to the South Point Arena, showcasing the world’s finest bucking bull stock Tuesday, Oct. 31 through Saturday, Nov. 4. Throughout the event, bull riding enthusiasts have the unique opportunity to witness some of the fiercest bucking bulls from around the country. Each bucking bull is competing to win the coveted World Finals title. ABBI, the world's leading DNA registry for bucking cattle, records and preserves the pedigrees of the world’s premier bucking bull livestock while maintaining the integrity and enhancing the value of the breed. ABBI also provides services to its breeder members while promoting bucking bull ownership and providing education about breeding, training and animal welfare. Tickets are on sale now.

The South Point Arena welcomes the 42nd annual Indian National Finals Rodeo & Gift Show Tuesday, Nov. 7 through Saturday, Nov. 11. Fans of all ages will witness the best of the best in a variety of competition styles such as bareback riding, bull riding, steer wrestling, team roping, barrel racing and much more. Guests will also have the option to shop from different vendors during the Western Gift Show. Tickets are available and start at $15.
Las Vegas National Hunter and Jumper Horse Show – Tuesday, Nov. 14 – Saturday, Nov. 19
Witness the Las Vegas National Hunter and Jumper Horse Show at the South Point Arena Tuesday, Nov. 14 through Saturday, Nov. 19. Fans will see Olympic winning horses and their riders compete in courses featuring obstacles such as triple bar, gates, walls, rails, and many more. Events, with the exception of Saturday, Nov. 18, will be free and open to the public. Tickets for the $100,000 Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Las Vegas qualifier on Saturday, Nov. 28, presented by Interactive Mortgage, are on sale now and available at the South Point Box Office.
Thanksgiving Shootout Women’s NCAA Division I Basketball – Friday, Nov. 24 – Sunday, Nov.26
South Point Arena welcomes back the Thanksgiving Shootout Women’s NCCA Division I Basketball tournament from Friday, Nov. 24 through Sunday, Nov. 26. Watch as Division I teams from Cleveland State University, Creighton University, Louisiana State University, Kansas State University, Louisiana Tech University, Niagara University, Pennsylvania State University, St. Louis University, University of California, Los Angeles, University of Texas and University of Washington battle for the champion title. Miss Rodeo America Horsemanship Competition – Monday, Dec. 4
The Miss Rodeo America Horsemanship Competition will take place at the South Point Priefert Pavilion Arena. Reigning State Rodeo Queens will compete for the coveted crown of Miss Rodeo America by competing in the areas of appearance, horsemanship and personality. The Miss Rodeo America Pageant is held annually in conjunction with the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Each contestant is judged on a variety of horsemanship skills deemed essential for fulfilling the duties as Miss Rodeo America. Tickets are available for purchase and start at $20.
Gold Carpet “Walk of Champions” – Tuesday, Dec. 5
South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa welcomes the 2017 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (WNFR) competitors as they walk the gold carpet “Walk of Champions” during the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association’s (PRCA) welcome reception to celebrate the start of the 2017 WNFR events. Fans of all ages are invited to take photos, get autographs and interact with their favorite competitors. This event is free and open to the public.
Benny Binion’s Bucking Horse and Bull Sale – Thursday, Dec. 7
South Point Arena welcomes the return of the Benny Binion Bucking Horse and Bull Sale, one of the premier events during the National Finals Rodeo, on Thursday, Dec. 7. The United Bucking Horse Association (UBHA) Futurity Finals & Sale will feature the top 36 bucking horses in North America competing in their year-end finals event. All colts entered in the UBHA Finals Event will be sold immediately after they are placed. Following the event will be the “PRCA Permit Holder of the Year Challenge & Bucking Stock Sale” at 12 p.m. where the top five PRCA Permit Holders in all PRCA rodeo events will compete in a two-round showdown. During the event Permit Holders will be bucking the sale stock and will conclude with the sale of Barebacks, Saddle Broncs and 24 Bulls. All bucking stock is sold as they are bucked during the performance. Tickets are $15 and available at the South Point Box Office.
NFR Buckle Ceremonies – Thursday, Dec. 7 – Friday, Dec. 15
South Point Showroom will host National Finals Rodeo (NFR) Buckle Ceremonies every night following the day’s competition from Thursday, Dec. 7 through Friday, Dec. 15 at 11 p.m. The nightly go-round winner in each of the seven NFR events will be presented with a prized buckle and review the night’s action with hosts Flint Rasmussen and Randy Corley. This event is free and open to the public.
CINCH Western Gift Show – Thursday, Dec. 7 - Sunday, Dec. 17
The South Point Exhibit Hall will hold the annual CINCH Western Gift Show Thursday, Dec. 7 through Sunday, Dec. 17. For 11 days, the Cinch Western Gift Show will serve as a one-stop-shop for cowboys, cowgirls and true western lifestyle fans. The Gift Show will feature vendors from all around the country bringing the best in Western lifestyle to South Point. More than 150 vendors will be displaying the best in Western apparel and accessories, tack, leather goods, animal health, ranch and farm equipment, and equestrian related home décor, gifts and jewelry. This event is free and open to the public.
World Bronc Futurity – Friday, Dec. 8
On Friday, Dec. 8, the top 50 Saddle Bronc competitors in the world will ride the next generation of world champion bucking horses during the World Bronc Futurity in the South Point Arena. Guests of all ages can witness the intensity and excitement as competitors try to stay atop of their horses. All of the bucking horses bucked in the futurity will be sold immediately after they are placed. Tickets are $18 and available at the South Point Box Office.
World Series of Team Roping – Sunday, Dec. 10 – Sunday, Dec. 17
The Priefert World Series of Team Roping, the third richest equestrian event in the world and the richest and most prestigious team roping event in the world, returns to South Point Arena Sunday, Dec. 10 through Sunday, Dec. 17. Over 100,000 teams turned out at WSTR qualifiers during the 2017 season and thousands of teams will compete in Las Vegas for over $11 million dollars in purse money. Guests will watch in awe as some of the best team-ropers from across the country battle for the championship titles. This event is free and open to the public.
Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic – Thursday, December 21 – Friday, December 22
Join South Point Hotel as Women’s Division-I basketball teams battle for the Holiday Hoops Classic title Thursday, Dec. 21 through Friday, Dec. 22. Teams that will be participating include Abilene Christian University, Radford University, Towson University, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Oakland College, and Old Dominion University. Tickets are available at the South Point Box Office.
D3 Hoops Classic – Thursday, Dec. 28 – Saturday, Dec. 30
D3 Hoops Classic returns to the South Point Arena Thursday, Dec. 28 through Saturday, Dec. 30 featuring Division-III men’s and women’s basketball teams as they battle for the D3 Hoops Classic championship title. The teams competing include Trine University, University of Wisconsin-Stout, University of California Santa Cruz, Amherst College, Augsburg University, Carroll College, Ramapo College, Ohio Wesleyan University, University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, Wartburg College, Occidental College, Hamline University, Central, Pacific Lutheran University and Whitman College.
