The Cosmopolitan will host “Our Big Concert” (OBC) presented by X107.5, featuring two nights of non-stop alt-rock music at The Chelsea, Thursday, June 6 and Friday, June 7. The annual summer kick-off event will feature performances by Silversun Pickups with AJR, SYML, and SHAED on Thursday, June 6, and Catfish and the Bottlemen, X Ambassadors with K.Flay, Grandson, and Meg Myers on Friday, June 7.

For the third consecutive year, The Cosmopolitan will welcome comedian Adam Sandler back to The Chelsea stage for a night of laughs. Sandler previously headlined at The Cosmopolitan in 2017 and 2018 as the resort’s first resident comedian.

A successful actor, writer, producer and musician, Sandler’s films have grossed over $3 billion worldwide and include box office hits such as Grown Ups, Big Daddy, The Longest Yard and The Waterboy. Sandler has been on the road performing in front of live audiences on a sold-out tour over the last couple of years in the U.S. and Canada. 100% Fresh was released on Netflix on October 23rd, 2018 and marked Sandler’s first comedy special in twenty years.

The Cosmopolitan will welcome six-time GRAMMY Award-winner Kacey Musgraves to the Chelsea stage for the first time ever on the second leg of her Oh, What a World: Tour.

Kacey is touring in support of her critically acclaimed third studio album, Golden Hour. Released in March 2018, the album earned Kacey her third No. 1 debut on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, four GRAMMY Awards, 3 ACM Awards, and 1 CMA Award. Kacey made history by taking home Album of the Year at all three award shows, becoming the first to do so since Taylor Swift in 2010 and only the third artist to do so overall. Golden Hour has been named one of the best albums of 2018 by everyone from Apple Music, NPR, Time, The Associated Press, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Billboard, GQ, Esquire, American Songwriter, Complex, Consequence of Sound, and Stereogum, among others.

Comedian, actor, writer, and podcast host Bill Burr will take The Chelsea stage for a night of stand-up comedy.

Bill Burr is one of the top comedic voices of his generation achieving success in TV and film as well as the live stage. Bill sells out theaters internationally and his Monday Morning Podcast is one of the most downloaded comedy podcasts on iTunes. The fourth season of his hit animated Netflix series F Is For Family will premiere later this year featuring Bill, Laura Dern and Justin Long as the Murphy family. On March 4 & 5, Bill recorded his sixth hour-long comedy special to be released later this year on Netflix and his vinyl album, Live At Andrew’s House, is a recording of his 2011 Carnegie Hall performance. Bill was seen in the Hugh Jackman film, The Front Runner; he was seen in the Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell film, Daddy’s Home; he co-stars opposite Kevin Costner in the indie film, Black or White; was seen in the Paul Feig film, The Heat, alongside Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy and in the Al Pacino and Christopher Walken film Stand Up Guys. Bill received raves for his recurring role as “Kuby” on the hit AMC-TV show, Breaking Bad.

Duran Duran will take on the Chelsea stage for their second run this year.

Duran Duran formed in Birmingham, England at the center of the city’s vibrant music scene in the early eighties and quickly became a household name around the world. Four decades later, Duran Duran have sold over 100 million records, had 18 American hit singles, 20 UK chart toppers, won innumerable awards for their continued contribution to music, and perform to huge concert audiences around the globe.

Singer Simon Le Bon, keyboardist Nick Rhodes, bassist John Taylor and drummer Roger Taylor fuse pop music, art, technology, and fashion with a sense of style and confidence all their own. Never losing the desire to innovate, they have proven themselves timeless and have always remained ahead of the curve.

In celebration of Mexican Independence Day Weekend, Mexican singer/songwriter Pancho Barraza will perform at The Chelsea.

Pancho Barraza has been a classic performer of Mexican Norteño and banda music since starting out as a solo artist in 1995. His debut album, Mis Canciones De Amor, was a smash, and since then, he's become known throughout the field as one of the best singers of this type of music in Mexico.

Banda El Recodo will take The Chelsea stage along with Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán, on their Northamerican 200 Años de Musica Mexicana tour.

Formed in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, México in 1938, Banda El Recodo has been under the direction of the Lizárraga family ever since. The seventeen-member ensemble consists of four clarinets, three trumpets, a tambora, a bass drum with a cymbal on top, a tarola, a snare drum, a tuba three trombones, two alto horns and two singers. Banda el Recodo is considered a pioneer of Banda music, a style of Mexican music involving wind instruments.

The Carlos Martínez-led Mariachi Vargas De Tecalitlán was originally conceived in 1897 by Gaspar Vargas. The Son Jaliscience music creators are some of the most respected musicians in the Latin community. With over fifty recordings and nine studio albums under their belt, the musical genius of Mariachi Vargas De Tecalitlán has been the soundtrack to multiple Mexican generations today and to come.

The New York-bred trio is known for its vital part in New York City’s early 21st century rock renaissance. Following a hugely successful 15th anniversary tour celebrating the seminal 2002 debut album, Turn On the Bright Lights, the trio worked tirelessly to release its sixth studio album, recently debuting Marauder in 2018.

Interpol originated in New York in 1997 when guitarist Daniel Kessler recruited bassist Carlos Dengler and singer and guitarist Paul Banks to form the band. In 2002, with Sam Fogarino on drums, the band released its debut album Turn On The Bright Lights, which was lauded as one of the most successful albums of the year. Over the next decade, Interpol would see wide critical and commercial acclaim playing major festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Primavera.

The California-bred band, comprised of vocalist Jesse Rutherford, guitarists Jeremy Freedman and Zach Abels, bassist Mikey Margott and drummer Brandon Alexander Fried, exploded into mainstream consciousness with their breakout hit “Sweater Weather” in 2012. Since the release of their 2014 mixtape #000000 & #ffffff the band members’ eclectic music tastes have led them to create a music that bridges the worlds of pop, rock, hip-hop and more.

Hard to Imagine The Neighbourhood Ever Changing, the band’s latest work, features collaborations with renowned hip-hop artists Ghostface Killah, Denzel Curry, IDK and the late music icon, Nipsey Hussle. Presented as individually released EPs and an LP that together form a four-part, stream-friendly playlist, the album is a documentation of the full evolution of the band.

The artist’s newest album, Cuz I Love You, delivers everything from sixties soul to eighties post-disco pop with dense arrangements and electrifying vocals. Lizzo, who recently delivered two weekends worth of buzz-worthy Coachella performances, will run through new hits like “Juice,” and “Tempo,” featuring Missy Elliot, as well as tried and true favorites like “Good as Hell,” and “Truth Hurts.”

Coming on smart, sassy, and strong, Minneapolis rapper and singer Lizzo arrived in the Twin Cities with a hard sound and stance, thanks to her Texas roots and time learning the ropes with crews like Atlanta’s Crime Mob. Born Melissa Jefferson in Houston, a 2011 move to Minneapolis found her fronting Lizzo & the Larva Ink while joining the neo-TLC-type group the Chalice.

The Pool District
Dive In Movies at The Boulevard Pool
Entering its ninth season, Dive In Movies will transform the resort’s 65-foot digital marquee into a colossal movie screen overlooking the famed Las Vegas Strip. From classic films to major blockbusters, Dive In Movies allows locals and visitors alike to take a dip or lounge poolside while enjoying specialty cocktails and movie snacks under the stars. Admission to Dive in Movies is $7. Hotel guests will receive complimentary entry.

Dive In Movies will begin promptly at 8:00 p.m. and will entertain from Monday, May 13, through Monday, Sept. 2. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.
