Sammy Hagar Surprises Fans with Concert at Cabo Wabo Cantina

Prior to his concert with Aerosmith at MGM Garden Arena, Sammy Hagar and his band The Wabos surprised fans at his official pre-concert party at Cabo Wabo Cantina when he and his band jumped on stage for a 12-song set Saturday night, July 31.

Upon arriving at his cantina at 7 p.m Hagar hung out with family and friends drinking Gatorade and Cabo Wabo Tequila and enjoying chips and guacamole before performing the surprise set. Fans knew they were in for a treat when they could hear the band rehearsing from the cantina’s second level.At 9 p.m. Hagar and The Wabos rocked the stage performing “Only One Way To Rock,” “55,” “Mas Tequila,” and more with the excited crowd singing along. Hagar kept his fellow “red heads” pumped throughout the entire set, switching up his guitars and toasting with a bottle of Cabo Wabo Tequila. At the close of the set, Hagar fans pleaded for an encore, encouraging the Red Rocker to finish with “Why Can’t This Be Love.”

After the performance Hagar stuck around the cantina for a late night dinner with friends and family.
