Girls Night Debuts at Studio 54 inside the MGM Grand

Mix a bit of Desperate Housewives with Sex in the City and Mamma Mia and you've got the British hit and popular off Broadway production, Girl’s Night: The Musical, which made its Las Vegas debut at Studio 54 inside MGM Grand for a limited engagement, May 6-23.

The show is targeted to female audiences and although men are invited to come along for a night of fun, they would have to sit back and go along with the flow as five female characters get together, talk about the present, reminisce about their past and celebrate the future which at times means poking fun at the opposite sex. With no holds barred, some raunchy behavior and dialogue occasionally come into play that are meant strictly for laughs.

The slim plot centers on four very much alive, thirty something friends who gather to celebrate the engagement of their deceased friend's daughter. The off beat group of characters is comprised of Liza (Sonya Carter) who married her plastic surgeon and has issues; boring Kate (Kira Galindo) the designated driver; her older sister, Carol (Debra Toscan) a party animal; and medicated but blunt, Anita (Deb Radloff) who says it like it is. Meanwhile, on the sidelines, but very much an integral part of the show is fifth friend, Sharon (Priscilla Fernandez) the not so angelic “angel” who can't resist tagging along.

Although dead for twenty years, Sharon, adorned in white denim and wings, oversees the proceedings, acts as narrator and joins in as the group embark on a night of fun, karaoke and of course, a heavy dose of girl bonding.

This all takes place as the talented cast belt out classic pop tunes as I'm Every Woman, It's Raining Men, Girls Just Want To Have Fun, Lady Marmalade, We Are Family, I Will Survive and many more, and the audience is encouraged to get of their seat, dance in the aisles and sing along.

Fast paced and filled with energy, the hilarious feel good comedy is the perfect option for bachelorette parties and women of all ages who want to share an estrogen filled night of friendship and partying.

Tickets for the remaining shows are available at the MGM Grand Hollywood Theatre box office starting at $57.40 and $101.40 for premium seats.
