Neon Trees joins rock 'n' roll royalty with a memorabilia case dedication at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
American rock band Neon Trees, best known for mega-hits “Animal” and “Everybody Talks,” was honored with their first-ever memorabilia case at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas on Thursday, July 31. The group, comprised of lead singer Tyler Glenn, guitarist Chris Allen, bassist Branden Campbell and drummer Elaine Bradley, unveiled the case in front of dozens of screaming fans.

Glenn took a few minutes to acknowledge his appreciation of his fans and of the property, stating “We’ve been coming to this hotel for seven or eight years now… It’s a deep honor because we’re such music fans as well to be included in something that’s relevant and part of modern music. We put so much into everything we do visual to have some of that in a case for people to see is deeply exciting as artists. I’m so thrilled.”
Campbell, a Las Vegas native, said “When you think of the company we keep, when you walk throughout this hotel and you see all the other artist that are here, and for us to be included among those artists is really an honor.”
He also acknowledged his Las Vegas roots, continuing by saying the hotel has always been important to him because his father helped construct the property’s signature roof-top guitar. “It’s a piece of our family, to come here and always see all the work that has been done. It goes beyond music.”
The display, curated by Hard Rock Hotel’s memorabilia coordinator Beau Dobney, features items from the “Sleeping with a Friend,” the band’s current single, such as Glenn’s cupcake suite, Campbell’s base guitar, Allen’s suit and ukulele, Bradley’s snakeskin heels, a house costume as well as clothing from the album cover.

Prince Tribute Show “Purple Reign” Celebrates New Residency at The D
Purple Reign, the Prince Tribute Show recently celebrated its new residency at The D in downtown Las Vegas where Prince lookalike/soundalike, Jason Tenner and his powerful band continue to rock the house with dynamic renditions of the artist's greatest hits. The high energy show also features a tribute to Morris Day and The Time along with a new addition, sexy dancer Jennifer Romas who boosts the sizzle factor with her hot moves.

Tickets for the second annual MISS ASIAN LAS VEGAS PAGEANT will go on sale on Friday, Aug. 8. The event will be held inside The Palazzo Theatre at The Palazzo Las Vegas on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 2 p.m. The event provides a platform to help build leadership, friendships, community involvement, etiquette and talent for its contestants. In addition to traditional pageant rounds such as interviews, swimwear and evening gowns, the production will feature glamorous displays of Asian culture and costume. THE WESTGATE LAS VEGAS RESORT & CASINO has announced that it will host the 2014 NORTH AMERICAN CHINESE INVITATIONAL VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT August 30 – September 1, 2014. This event is rich in history and tradition and this will mark the first time that this tournament will be located outside of its standard six-city rotation. Although San Francisco is technically the host city for 2014, they have chosen to have the tournament at the Westgate Las Vegas for their turn. This marks the 70th year for the tournament.
