Magician Murray Starring at Laugh Factory at Tropicana This Summer

Murray (Sawchuck) the magician is finally going to spend a little time where he calls home - in Las Vegas, The stage illusionist, magician, comedian, actor, and host will be entertaining and amazing audiences at the Laugh Factory at the newly remodeled Tropicana Hotel through the summer.

Sawchuck, who has dubbed himself, “The 'Dennis the Menace' of Magic” wowed viewers of America's Got Talent, rising to the semi-finals on the fifth season of the show. He is the resident magic historian on the popular Pawn Stars and has traveled the world bringing his engaging magic/comedy to audiences from Fiji to Tahaiti to the East and West Coasts of the US.

It's always a pleasure to visit with this personable, talented young man, but it's often difficult to catch us with him as he hasn't spent much time in Las Vegas. But, this summer that will change. Visitors and locals will have the opportunity to see Murray's family friendly show at 7 p.m. Nightly.

Here's a little of what Murray has to say about his new show, his career, and his life.

DD: When you were on American's Got Talent, you made a train disappear. Any new special magic that you have planned for Vegas that you can tell us about.

MS: Yes, a few new things. I won’t be making a train vanish this time as I probably couldn’t even get the front end in the building! I have something new I am trying at The New Tropicana Las Vegas – Laugh Factory room. I am performing part of my show 360 degrees in the round with the audience all around me. This way the audience gets to be closer than ever before to my illusions and magic.

DD: How do you keep track of all of your props, show dates, travel plans, etc?

MS: am very lucky to have a great publicist Cheryl Kagan who keeps all of my public appearances in order, along with a very well written out schedule, but there are times I even look at my own website to see what is coming up next. Sometimes my schedule is a bit overwhelming.

DD: Has there been one trip or experience that was a real WOW for you that you can share with us?

MS: One of my favorite most recent shows was in Beverly Hills for Joan Dangerfield (famous comedian Rodney Dangerfield’s wife). It was at her home for a very high end party in Beverly Hills, Larry King, Michael Bolton, Kirk Kekorian, Dianne Cannon, comedian Harry Basil and many other high profile guests from China and around the world were there… and it was a House Party… so after performing around the world in 1500 seat venues, I flew in to perform on Joan’s pool/patio for a very intimate group, It was exciting, yet nerve racking because everyone is right there.

DD:When did you begin doing magic and have you had any mentors along the way? Do you have idols in the profession?

MS: started doing magic at the age of 7 and my main mentor was a magician named ‘Mr. Electric’ aka Marvyn Roy and his wife Carol. They were known in the 1950’s through 1990’s as the act twhere he lit lightbulbs in his bare hands! They performed all over the world.DD: With all of your travel, do you have time for a personal life? anything you can share with us about that?

MS: I am always on the road. That was one of the benefits signing the contract with the Laugh Factory and the Tropicana Hotel here in Las Vegas! I can drive to work and enjoy my house and life.

DD: Where is home these days?

MS: Home is right here in Las Vegas! The Lakes! Love the westside with all the greenery and the bits of water around!MS: Yes, I have a few. Wounded Warriors, Children of the Night, and Snowball Express. Two of them support the troops that fight for our freedom and the other is one to keep teens and kids off the streets.

DD: Is there a possibility that your show at the Tropicana might be extended for those who are unable to get there during your 3 month run?

M:S Yes, we will more than likely be running right through the summer so all the families can come see the show! It’s kid friendly and a great laugh for the whole family! We have 2 for 1’s for locals and all military! Everyone can follow me also on twitter at MurraySawchuck.

DD:  So follow Murray on Twitter, check out his web site, or better yet, check out his show 7 p.m. at the Laugh Factory at the Tropicana. Do it this summer, before he disappears to more far flung places. Maybe if you do, he'll make you disappear?!

WSOP.com TO STREAM 60 WORLD SERIES OF POKER  GOLD BRACELET FINAL TABLES ONLINE

Renowned Poker Announcer Dave Tuchman to Call 34 Events Seeking Player Analysts to Add Color Commentary to Webcasts

If you know me, you know I love poker.  And what could be better than the World Series of Poker (WSOP) held yearly at the Rio in Las Vegas.  Here's the latest on this massive event:

This  year , WSOP.com the official website of the World Series of Poker, will be the exclusive home to live video of all 60 of the fiyenal tables of the official WSOP gold bracelet events. Up to three final tables a day could be streamed, but in most instances, two different final tables will stream, with scheduled start times of 1:00 pm PT and 2:00 pm PT.

All live streaming will begin when the official final table gets underway, thus hard start times are difficult to predict but announcements will be made via the WSOP’s official Twitter feed at www.twitter.com/WSOP. All WSOP live streaming will be found here: www.wsop.com/2012/live-video/ Two distinct streams will be available.

The primary stream will feature six different cameras along with announcer/analyst commentary. These webcasts will feature flop games in most instances and be streamed from the main WSOP stage inside the Amazon Ballroom at the Rio. Renowned play-by-play anchor David Tuchman will serve as the WSOP’s official announcer for the primary webcasts and will be joined by a rotating group of player analysts. Jay “WhoJedi” Newnum will serve as the WSOP’s Video Coordinator overseeing the streaming project, and any players interested in being part of the coverage are encouraged to contact Jay via Twitter @WhoJedi.

Officials anticipate the primary stream to feature 34 WSOP gold bracelet events over 45 days of coverage, beginning with Event #1 on Monday, May 28 and continuing through Sunday, July 8.

All the primary streams will emanate from the Amazon Ballroom’s Main Stage.

“It doesn't get bigger or better than the World Series of Poker,” said Tuchman. “I am excited and humbled to be working with the WSOP to bring the live stream to a hungry and growing audience.”

All WSOP.com live final table web streams will be on a 5-minute delay without hole cards, to conform to gaming regulations.

Veetle.com returns in 2012 as the WSOP’s official streaming provider. Veetle is dedicated to changing how people connect and communicate using live video. As an added enhancement to this year’s coverage, WSOP.com will archive the final table streams to allow the ability to replay an event.

We invite live attendees and players to download the Veetle app (mobile.veetle.com) and share your WSOP moment. WSOP.com’s live streaming schedule (subject to change) is as follows:
