ADULTCON is Adults Only EXPO
ADULTCON? Yup, it's just what you think it is. An Expo for Adults only. The event, held at the Riviera from January 12-14, eased itself up to overlap with this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES), held at the nearby Convention Center.
Some have described it as a “poor man's AVN.” Admittedly, it is much smaller is size, but it also afforded visitors who shelled out $40 the opportunity to be more up close and personal without the huge lines at the other show (AEE) which followed it into town. A $50 VIP ticket entitled the holder to a three day pass with reentry all three days, VIP admittance, gifts, a free massage in the VIP massage area, and a complimentary photo with adult entertainment industry icon Ron Jeremy.
When CES closed, my spouse suggested that we check out Adultcon.
Kristi Miller had some interesting things to say about the Hedonism resort located in Negril Jamaica.
We visited the Hedonism booth where Kristi Miller, Senior Director of US Field Sales at SuperClubs, told us the Jamaican based resort is for, “open-minded fun loving people.” “It's an adult playground,” she said, “with a clothing optional nude side.” Make no mistake about it. This resort was at Adultcon because the social atmosphere is ,”sexually charged”. From what Kristi said, one could deduce that anything goes.
It sounds like summer camp for adults with no rules. Theme nights include PJ nite, Fetish night, and Sexy Pirates and Booty nite. Repeat guest have been known to go all out with costumes for these events. Must be fun as Hedonism is known to have the highest return rate of any resort in the Caribbean.
Chuck Rounds has a creative approach to Barbie Dolls.
I bumped into someone I knew at one of the booths. Chuck Rounds, a partner in Madmeat Photography, had a most interesting display of photos. It's not everyday that you get to see Barbie and Ken dolls in what can only be described as compromising positions. I loved it even though I couldn't hang the photos anywhere that my grandkids would see them. I asked Chuck who his customers are. “People with a good sense of humor,” he said.
Sunset Thomas was at a booth greeting fans of her videos. Looks like she'll have some new fans as well from the look of things.

Then there was Vegasgirls.com with a gimmick to attract the guys in the room. Spin the wheel and win one of the prizes which ranged from a smile from one of the ladies at the table to a discount on a woman who would come to your room to do a private strip routine for you.
For the proper token, Ron Jeremy was posing for photos with fans and schmoozing a bit as well.

Other booths included the self touting “world famous Green Door” described as the “world's most unique social spa. Couples and singles are welcome and their motto is “Let your inhibitions run wild!” I'm told that it really is famous and world of mouth has led many travelers here to check it out. It includes a “No-Wear Room”. Mistress Allisin said that it is the largest swingers club in Nevada and includes a popular dungeon.
Misty Rose from Starbuzz was introducing a new product called Afterburn, an all natural male sexual enhancer.
Shiazo Steam Stones touted hookah tobacco and pipes. I was told it tastes good and is a healthy alternative to cigarettes.
Dorian Gomez, the Art Director and Resident Curator of the Erotic Museum in Las Vegas was there to get the word out about the facility which includes erotica, artwork artifacts and film. She told me it is restricted to ages 18 and over. Some of the exhibits rotate and she said an hour or so gives you enough time to go through the Museum. It is the only museum fully staffed by a clinical sexologist and interns and includes one pornographer as well. It's located at 3275 Industrial Road. Call 702-369-6442 for more information.
Adultcon, started in 2001, is designed for fans to have easy access to some of their favorite adult entertainment stars and erotic products. According to the literature, it , “has been America's adult lifestyle fair filled with provocative erotic entertainment and dult stars in the flesh.”
Adultcon is scheduled to return to Las Vegas in November. For information, check out the website at www.adultcon.com
