Suzanne Somers Shines in her New “Sizzling” Cabaret Show at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino

Entertainer Suzanne Somers, debuted her new sophisticated nightclub act “SUZANNE Sizzles” at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino on Saturday, May 23, where she will perform for a total of 28 weeks through May 2016.

During her years in Las Vegas in the 1980s, Somers starred at the Westgate Las Vegas when it was known as the Las Vegas Hilton. That was then, and now she is thrilled to be back with her new act, “SUZANNE Sizzles,” a throwback to a bygone era of glitz and glamour, the Rat Pack, and intimate lounges with cocktail seating.  Accompanied by her superb five piece band, Suzanne sings a bevy of beloved oldies but goodies, classic love songs and ballads such as I Don't Know Why I Love You Like I Do", Leon Russell's "A Song For You",“It Don't Mean a Thing If You Ain't Got That Swing", "Cockeyed Optimist" and “Ain't Misbehavin”, just to name a few.

Looking fabulous and fit at age 68, Suzanne changes costumes during the 70 minute show, but never leaves the stage. Instead, she steps behind a mock standup piano to change into one of several, dazzling, sexy, yet tasteful, short dresses, or gowns and a sequined military number, each showcasing her still shapely body and great pair of legs that women of all ages would die for.

While she may not have the powerful pipes of a Celine, Barbra or Whitney, Suzanne's voice has a sweet, melodic tone that is pleasant to the ears. Living up to the quote “Music is what feelings sound like” by songwriters Alan and Marilyn Bergman, Suzanne knows how to deliver song lyrics with heartfelt emotion, which is a requisite for any talented vocalist to convey.

Along with her other, more obvious, assets, Suzanne displays a likable persona appearing at ease and comfortable on stage sharing career highlights and anecdotes including memorable moments of her TV career and when she entertained the troops on USO tours. She recalls how it all started in 1973, when she made a cameo appearance in American Graffiti as the mysterious blonde in the back seat of a '56 T-bird where she whispered only three words, “I love you” to a young Richard Dreyfus. “For the one night shoot, I made $136.72. I never realized how it would affect my life”, she says. That led to a guest appearance on the Johnny Carson Show and landing the role of the ditzy, but lovable, bouncing blonde, Chrissie, in the 1970's TV sitcom, “Three's Company” that gained her national fame.

As part of her show, the coquettish, Suzanne interacts with the audience and chooses a lucky male guest that is eager to oblige in joining her on stage to sing to and share some up close, innocent and funny banter.

Suzanne's show fills a niche in today's Las Vegas entertainment scene with her intimate, enjoyable show that includes live music, no lip syncing, audience interactions, and genuinely good, old fashioned entertainment that is hard to come by these days. At the opening of her show, Suzanne sings "Let's Fall In Love". She exudes charisma, has a wonderful sense of humor, and is so appealing that it is hard for her audiences not to. That said, Suzanne Sizzles marks a welcome return for Somers as a Las Vegas headliner.

“SUZANNE Sizzles", is performed at 7 p.m. five days a week, dark Sundays and Mondays. General admission tickets are priced at $79 (taxes and fees included); VIP and meet-and-greet tickets are also available. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino Box Office.

In addition to her show, the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino opened the Suzanne Somers Spa, featuring all of Somers’ SUZANNE Organics Cosmetics, organic skin care, and organic hair care products, and the Suzanne Somers Organic Spa Café, serving food based on recipes from Somers’ series of bestselling cookbooks.

Each show night, Somers will prepare in the dressing room she designed, using materials that are hypoallergenic and green.

Far from the dumb blonde she portrayed in “Three's Company”, Suzanne Somers is a smart and successful businesswoman, a pioneering health and wellness advocate, a #1 New York Times bestselling author, and has written a new book, TOX-SICK: From Toxic to Not Sick, an exposé on the immediate and long-term dangers of living in a world that has become increasingly toxic to our health. TOX-SICK debuted at #3 on the New York Times bestseller list earlier this month. Suzanne recently appeared on ABC-TV’s “Dancing with the Stars” 10th anniversary season.
