Since 1997, Canon U.S.A. and NCMEC have collaborated to educate the public about the growing issue of child abduction. The Canon4Kids program, a partnership between Canon U.S.A. and NCMEC, has donated thousands of products including digital cameras, fax machines, printers and scanners to help law enforcement quickly disseminate photos and information about missing children, produces PSAs with missing children’s photos and educates parents about tips for taking and maintaining updated photos of their children.

Thanks to partners and supporters, the National Center has been able to assist law enforcement in the recovery of more than 199,000 missing children. Today 97% of missing children have been bought home. The Center's CyberTipline, a mechanism for reporting suspected child exploitation, has received more than 3 million reports and analysts have received more than 124 million suspected child pornography images.   In the past year, 168 children involved in sex traffic have been recovered and 181 pimps have been arrested. In addition, as of November 3, 2014, Amber Alerts have helped rescue and safely return 711 children.

For their commitment in trying to make the world a better place through their continued support and donation of products and services for the National Center, John Walsh, Co-Founder of The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children said, “Canon U.S.A. exemplifies how one company can truly make a difference and the National Center is proud to call them a sponsor.”

The 16th Annual Canon Customer Appreciation Reception/fundraiser and the following morning's NCMEC Celebrity Golf Tournament raised over $385,597 at the events, which will directly benefit the organization's mission of finding returning mission children and the prevention of child abduction and exploitation. http://www.missingkids.com/home
