Additional recent and upcoming “happenings” in and around Las Vegas include:

Emmy award winning actor/comedian Brad Garrett performed last week at his new self titled  Brad Garrett's Comedy Club that recently opened at the Tropicana Las Vegas. The very tall (6 foot 8 inch) comedian took to the stage as the club's first headliner and it was a great way to debut his new club.  Brad is a very funny guy and he kept the audience in stitches with his harmless insult type humor and clever observations on life, including his take on gambling in Las Vegas. For those who are familiar with Garrett as Robert, the character he played on Everybody Loves Raymond, it was a surprise to see his on stage persona is far removed from that TV role, though both showcase his sharp comedic talent.    If you failed to catch Brad during his run at the club, June 28 through Sunday, July 4, he will be back.

Following his initial week, Garrett will make additional club appearances – some scheduled and some unexpected – both doing stand-up on the stage and greeting patrons at the door. As part of the two-year exclusive deal he signed   with the Tropicana, Garrett’s comedy club will be the only location in Las Vegas where guests may see Garrett perform. Other comedians scheduled to headline at Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club in 2010 are Kevin Nealon, Dom Irrera, Bob Zany, Rondell Sheridan, Rocky LaPorte and some surprise celebrity guests.
